A farm accident in Norwich.
On Saturday, just before 5 p.m., 911 was contacted after a worker injured their hand cleaning straw from a spreader.
The worker suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a London area hospital.
The Ministry of Labour has been contacted and will be following up with the investigation.

A break and enter turned into a drug bust.
On Sunday, in the early morning hours, police responded to a break and enter on Bidwell Street in Tillsonburg.
Officers arrived on the scene and took two people into custody without incident and recovered a quantity of suspected purple and pink fentanyl.
As a result of the investigation, police charged 23-year-old Corrinne Swarts of Statfordville with break and enter along with possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Charged with break and enter is 31-year-old Christopher Steven Simmons of Tillsonburg.

A man on a bike with a gun caused police to act in Simcoe.
At around 1 a.m., two people were approached by a man on a bike on Talbot street when he displayed the firearm.
Charged with the following offences is 29-year-old Christopher James Taylor of Norfolk County:
· Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order,
· Carrying concealed weapon,
· Possession or weapon for dangerous purpose,
· Assault with a weapon, and
· Fail to comply with probation order.

Don’t veer for deer.
Two collisions were reported this long weekend after drivers left the roadway trying to avoid hitting wildlife.
On Sunday, police say a 21-year-old was driving on Nixon Road near midnight when they left the roadway trying to avoid a deer.
The car entered the ditch and the vehicle rolled but the driver was not injured.
In the early morning on Monday, on Cockshutt Road, a 62-year-old driving a transport truck left the roadway and smashed into a mailbox trying to avoid hitting a deer as well.

On Sunday morning, police were called out to Simcoe Composite School.
It was determined that someone damaged a door on the highschools outbuilding.

Drinking and driving don’t mix – drinking and excessive speeding is a recipe for disaster.
On Saturday, just after midnight, police on Highway 59 in Norwich clocked a car going 130 in an 80 km/h zone.
Police pulled over the vehicle and found open liquor in the vehicle and the young driver also had blood alcohol concentration above zero.
The Brant County man was charged.
