Ride Norfolk will be resuming their fare collection on Tuesday.
Since March 23rd, the program has been operating on a regular schedule without fares.
With more businesses and services starting to reopen, they’ve seen an increase in ridership.
So, they will be increasing their maximum capacity from five to eight as part of Stage 3 of reopening.
Tickets can be purchased at any Norfolk County Public Library branch or fares can be paid with exact cash on the bus.
Monthly passes can also be found at any branch of the NCPL for $60.
As they begin to increase their maximum riders, Ride Norfolk wants to assure customers that they are taking extra safety precautions.
High contact areas like railings and handles are being cleaned throughout the day and masks are required while onboard Ride Norfolk buses.
While riders are encouraged to use their own face covering, buses have a limited number of face masks, disposable gloves and both disinfectant spray and wipes available.
