The Norfolk County Public Library will see some changes as we move into Phase 2 of Ontario’s reopening.
Libraries can reopen with limited on-site services like computer access and contactless book pickup and drop-off.
That being said, patrons won’t be able to hands books or materials on shelves and libraries will need to operate in cooperation with public health guidelines.
The Library explains that they’ll be opening the Simcoe Branch first, on the week of June 29th and all other Branches will open for Phase 2 the week of July 6th.
There have been no firm dates set for opening as the Library is implementing new safety features.
Patrons are asked to book an appointment if they would like to use a computer and anyone entering the library will need to complete a checklist and temperature check as an assessment for COVID-19.
Along with some new services, the NCPL will continue to offer curbside pickup at all Branches.
The updated schedule for curbside is:
Delhi and Port Rowan: Tuesdays: Noon to 4:45 p.m. & Thursdays Noon to 6:45 p.m.
Port Dover : Mondays and Wednesdays: Noon to 4:45 p.m.
Waterford: Tuesdays and Fridays: Noon to 4:45 p.m.
Simcoe: Monday, Tuesday and Friday: Noon to 4:45 p.m. & Wednesday & Thursdays Noon to 6:45 p.m.
