F.A.R.M.S is trying to set the record straight when it comes to Mexican migrant workers coming to Canada.
Several news sources have reported that Mexico’s ambassador to Canada has stated the temporary foreign workers will not be arriving in the country until more details are revealed regarding the two deaths of migrant workers at a farm in Windsor due to COVID-19.
Since then, Foreign Agricultural Resource Management Services, or F.A.R.M.S, has contacted the Mexican Ministry of Labour for clarification on this news.
They say that the news was misinterpreted and that migrant worker will not be going to farms that have an active outbreak of COVID-19.
The Minister of Labor told F.A.R.M.S that for all other area farm operations it will be business as usual.
