Two people have died over the course of 10 days in Norfolk County due to suspected overdoses.
The OPP were called out Sunday to Queen Street North address and located a deceased 41-year-old individual.
10 days prior, they responded to another fatal call.
Police continue to investigate but believe fentanyl was linked to both incidents.
During this time, the Norfolk OPP responded to 8 non-fatal overdoses.
Police say they support Canada’s Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Act that provides protection from charges for individuals at the scene of a drug overdose for simple drug possession.
Individuals looking for local supports may contact their health care provider, the Health Unit of Haldimand/Norfolk, Community Addiction and Mental Health Services of Haldimand and Norfolk and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
