For over 36 years, Tom O’Neill has been a key part of the Norfolk Fruit Growers’ Association.
Now O’Neill, the organization’s general manager, is stepping down.
O’Neill will officially be stepping down on June 30th while the role will be filled by Hayden Dooney effective July 1st.
To help ensure a smooth transition of responsibility, O’Neill will be serving as a special advisor for the NFGA until the end of the year.
As O’Neill steps down he brings a wealth of experience with him.
O’Neill is a past recipient of the Golden Apple Award and earned recognition from the Ontario Produce Marketing Association for his contributions to the industry.
In addition, O’Neill represented the industry on the Canadian Horticultural Council and served as Ontario’s representative on the U.S. Apple Association.
