There’s a push on in the Province to find out where wild pig populations are present across Ontario.
Jolanta Kowalski with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says there are several species of the beast, as well as hybrids.
Wild Pigs have been reported in Eastern, southwestern, and Northern Ontario.
There have been over fifty confirmed sightings.
If you see a wild pig- or group of wild pigs, take a photo and send it in.
Look for the inaturalist.org website and make two clicks to the wild pig reporting page:

Wild Pigs pose a danger to wildlife, eco-systems and crops- and less-so, to human habitation.
There’s no proscribed hunting season for wild pigs, but you will need an Ontario Small Game Hunting license.
