Vittoria is about to be on TV.
CBC’s Still Standing will begin shooting in the town on October 12th.
The show, which is a cross between a comedy series and a reality show, sees host Jonny Harris travel to small towns across the country.
Anne Francis is the executive producer of Still Standing.
She says that Harris, one of the stars of Murdoch Mysteries, will be immersing himself in the town.
She believes the standup show will be at the community centre, with doors opening at 6 p.m. on October 16th.
Francis adds that they’ve wanted to focus on Vittoria for a while, due to its historical significance, and to highlight the tobacco industry in Ontario.
