HUBS AND BUDS HEADLINE A BLOCKBUSTER MEETING ON MARCH 27TH

March 27th is shaping up to be a blockbuster night at Town Hall.
Norfolk County Council will reconsider its vote of a multi-use recreational facility in Simcoe, while also tackling how people can grow marijuana in the county.
The county created a so-called 'Cannabis Task Force' which includes Norfolk Staff, the OPP, and Health Canada.
On the March 27th meeting, council will vote on the task force's recommendations.
Some of the recommendations in the report include site plan control, which restricts growing marijuana to Industrial and Agricultural zones, while also creating a buffer of 150 meters from neighbors homes.
A bylaw on obnoxious uses will also be updated so people can complain if the smell of marijuana from a neighbor became too intense.
