PARKING CONCERNS AT A LOCAL SCHOOL MAY FORCE POLICE TO ISSUE TICKETS 3/8/2018 7:25:25 AM
The Norfolk OPP is putting parents and caregivers of Saint Joseph's Catholic School on notice. The principal has sent out a letter advising parents where they want vehicles stopped and where they want students dropped off.
The issue at hand is motorists are blocking bus routes and are causing property damage at the Oakwood Cemetery by using the road as designated parking.To keep students safe, the OPP say they will begin an education piece with the parents.
According to the OPP, Norfolk's by-law department has been informed by the school of their concerns, but they have yet to respond to what their course of action is.
Anyone who may have questions regarding about the new parking rules are being asked to speak with officials at the school in Simcoe.
