Police say a man is fortunate to walk away with minor injuries after a scary crash in Simcoe.

Around 8 in the morning on Monday, police say a 28-year old man was lying on Evergreen Hill Road hooking up a tow strap to a vehicle that made its way into a ditch.

A 17-year old driver then struck the 28-year old's vehicle from behind causing the parked car to hit the man's exposed legs.

Police say the man was rushed to the hospital and only suffered minor injuries.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing, and police say charges are currently pending.
