WAIT TIMES AT THE E.R. CONTINUE TO DECLINE
2/12/2018 7:26:11 AM

People are spending less time waiting at the emergency room at the Norfolk General Hospital.

Newly released stats by the Health Quality Ontario website show that it takes roughly 9.8 hours to see a triage nurse and get admitted to a bed.

That is much lower than the provincial average of just over 16 hours.

The hospital's emergency department director Kim Mullins says the reduced wait times are a result of a team approach which found ways to eliminate inefficiencies.
