DUNNVILLE CRASH SENDS SEVERAL CHILDREN TO THE HOSPITAL

A terrible crash in Dunnville sends four children under 10-year-old to the hospital.
     
Haldimand County OPP says on Wednesday morning, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Alder Street West and Helena Street.
    
Both vehicles had children inside.
    
Two 7-year-old girls, a 9-year-old boy, a 31-year-old male passenger and a 54-year-old male driver in the westbound vehicle were all transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
     
A 5-year-old boy in the northbound vehicle was also transported by paramedics to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
      
A 28-year-old Haldimand County man was charged with disobeying a stop sign, having his windshield obstructed, having an insecure load and not having a child properly secured. OPP reminds all drivers to ensure their child passengers are properly secured in appropriate child seats.
