NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE VERGE OF LOSING ITS POWER
1/10/2018 8:18:32 AM

Norfolk County Council could spend around half of the year with limited power.

Right now, there is a likelihood that our current council could be entering a Lame Duck situation if less than 75 percent of them don't run for re-election.

We know John Wells, and Jim Oliver have publicly said they will not run this year.

Should one more person decide not to try to keep their seat, it will lead to a unique situation.

That was County Clerk Andy Grozzelle.

Should this be the case, council would have limited power from July 27th through to December 4th when the "new council" will hold their first meeting.
