OPP BRIEFS INCLUDE A BREAK AND ENTER WHILE THE HOMEOWNERS WERE ASLEEP

A senseless act of mischief causes extensive damage to a Simcoe home.
        
Between December 17th and January 7th, police say someone went to Cedar Street home and entered a house that was under construction.
            
Once inside they turned on the taps and overflowed the tub which caused water the spread throughout the entire residence.
             
The pipes at the house also froze due to this act, causing extensive damage.
        
Police are continuing to investigate.

A scary break and enter.
       
On Sunday, at around 4 a.m., police say a homeowner woke up to the sound of someone calling out "hello" in their Argyle Street home.
     
Several items were removed, mainly electronic items and alcohol.
      
The suspects fled the area in an unknown direction.
      
Anyone with information is being asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.

A 21-year old man from Delhi is facing a careless driving charge after a vehicle he was driving ended up crashing into a detached garage.
   
It happened Saturday morning at a County Line Road address in Hagersville.
   
OPP investigators say a vehicle was traveling on County Line Road when the driver lost control and collided with a garage.
    
The driver was not injured.
