A total of 13 area motorists were charged with impaired driving during the OPP's annual Festive Ride Campaign.

Police laid eight impaired charges in Norfolk County and issued three three-day license suspensions for motorists who weren't entirely over the legal limit.

A total of five drivers were charged with impaired driving in Haldimand. Police say four other drivers also had their license suspended for three days.

Across the province, the force says 587 motorists were charged with impaired driving, while over 360 were issued a Warn Range Suspension and had their driver's license suspended.

Last year, the OPP charged 623 impaired drivers during its RIDE Campaign.
