OPP HOPE PARENTS USE MORE CAUTION WHEN TAKING THEIR KIDS TO LARGER EVENTS

Every parent thinks it will never happen to them -- their child getting separated in a large crowd.

The Norfolk OPP say this happens far too often and they want parents to plan ahead with Pumpkinfest this weekend.

Last week at the Norfolk County Fair, Constable Ed Sanchuk says officers saw first hand what happens when plans are not put into place.

Sanchuk says families should set up a meeting location if they get separated, and children should dress in bright or reflective clothing so it will be easy to spot them in a large crowd.
