SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION CLAIMS THE LIFE OF 1 PERSON

A single vehicle collision in Norfolk County has left one person dead. The collision happened around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning (October 7) on Charlotteville West Line Road. Police say that a pickup truck was traveling northbound when the truck left the roadway, entered the ditch, collided with a tree, catching fire.
      
Emergency crews responded to the scene and put out the fire. Emergency crews located one deceased person inside the vehicle. No identity is being released at this time until next of kin are notified.
      
The OPP are continuing their investigation into this collision.
      
Charlotteville West Line Road is currently closed between McDowell Road East to Charlotteville Road 11. Police anticipate that it will remain closed until mid afternoon.
