The Norfolk General Hospital just landed some big time money.

Officials at the hospital announced that they will get $2.5-million in infrastructure funding from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.

Ontario's Health Minister Dr. Eric Hoskins informed NGH they were one of 131 hospitals selected through its Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.

The funding in Simcoe will be used to replace generators, an air handling unit and the cooling tower.

The hospital will also be doing roof replacement and brick restoration.
