WE NEED TO SLATHER ON THE SUNSCREEN, CANCER SOCIETY SAYS
7/17/2017 7:16:37 AM

According to the Canadian Cancer Society, when the UV Index is around 9, you could get skin damage in only a matter of minutes.

Today's UV Index is 8 or very high.

The Canadian Cancer Society says one of the most common myths is that you don't need to wear sunscreen during cloudy days.

According to the Cancer Society, the hours between 11 a.m and 3 p.m. are dangerous times to be outside without sunscreen especially if that UV index is above 3.

The Canadian Cancer Society recommends sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and to wear light clothing and wide-brimmed hats.
