$3.9 MILLION WORTH OF MARIJUANA SEIZED IN TOWNSEND DRUG BUST

A drug bust in Townsend led to the Norfolk OPP seizing $3.9 million worth of marijuana.
      
The search warrant was conducted at a Concession 14 property on Wednesday with five men and two women taken into custody.
      
Investigators seized the substantial amount of drugs, $18,000 in Canadian currency, and three motor vehicles.
         
As a result, the seven individuals have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
        
The accused are 20-year-old Huangsheng Wu of Hamilton, 24-year-old Jerry Lin from Unionville, 26-year-old Shiyang Dong from Markham, 54-year-old Zeng Chen from Toronto, as well 47-year-old De Fei Wu, 46-year-old Xue Chen, and 54-year-old Yi Zhen Li, with those last three all coming from Scarborough
       
All are to appear in Provincial Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
