OPP TEACH KIDS THE RULES OF THE ROAD

Bike Rodeos are now underway in the county.

Tuesday morning in Langton, police officers checked over children's bicycles, measured tire pressure, adjusted seats and made sure helmets were properly fastened before riders tested their skills on the controlled course.

OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk says the idea of the rodeos is to teach young riders some valuable bicycle safety lessons and the rules of the road.

The OPP also plan to reward kids with a free frosty at any Mac's Convenience store this summer if they see youths wearing a bicycle helmet.
