IRRIGATION EQUIPMENT, FUEL, STOLEN FROM RURAL PROPERTY

Farmers may want to keep a close eye on their equipment.

The Norfolk OPP is investigating after Irrigation equipment, and fuel totaling more than $4,000 were stolen from a property on Highway 24 East in Charlotteville.

Police say 200 Nelson F43 brass sprinkler heads were stolen, along with 300 liters of diesel fuel from storage tanks on the property.

OPP investigators tell myFM they got a tip about a man riding on an ATV around the property when the theft occurred on Monday.

The suspect is being described as tanned, stocky, with dark hair and is believed to be in his early 20s.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the police.
