A person living in Simcoe probably should have thought twice before calling the cops about this break and enter.

On Monday afternoon, officers responded to a break-in on Cedar Street.

When they arrived, they learned a thief stole Marijuana from the home, but after speaking with the homeowner, it was quickly determined they did not have a license to possess it and then asked the police to leave.

No charges were laid.

Regardless, police are asking anyone with information to call them or Crime Stoppers.
