HEALTH UNIT TO HOST A COMMUNITY ALCOHOL FORUM IN JARVIS
4/20/2017 7:26:16 AM

Norfolk County may have an alcohol problem -- our consumption is higher than the provincial average.

In response to this issue, the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit is hosting a Community Alcohol Forum in Jarvis on Tuesday, April 25th.

The Forum will showcase several keynote speakers as well as hear about the challenges that our emergency officials face on daily bases surrounding Norfolk's alcohol intake.

We spoke with Norfolk's fire prevention officer Scott Pipe about that.

Anyone who would like to sit on this community panel to find out why drinking is so high in Norfolk is being asked to attend the event in Jarvis.

It's being held at the Jarvis Community Centre on Tuesday, April 25th from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm.

Registration is required.

RSVP by April 21st to Janet Schram at 519-426-6170 or 905-318-6623 ext 3264.
