POLICE RAID OHSWEKEN BUSINESS ACCUSED OF SELLING MARIJUANA ILLEGALLY

A police raid on an Ohsweken business.
      
On Tuesday, Six Nations Police executed a search warrant on Medixinal on Highway 54.
      
Police say the sole purpose of the business was to illegally sell and distribute marijuana and cannabis products.
       
Police seized a substantial amount of consumable products such as cookies, candies, pills and tea bags, all advertised as containing THC.
       
Several pounds of marijuana was seized along with needles containing liquid THC, which were all advertised for sale.
       
A 41-year-old Oshweken man and 45-year-old Hamilton man were arrested and charged Trafficking and Possession For The Purpose of Trafficking.
       
Police also charged three other individuals who were in the store with Possession For The Purpose of Trafficking.
        
Six Nations Police say that due to the large quantity of items seized and the testing that needs to be done, they are currently are unable to give an accurate dollar amount of the total seizure at this time.
