ROLLERCOASTER TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO SPRING
3/20/2017 5:14:43 AM

It looks like Wiarton Willie has some competition.

In February, Ontario's celebrity groundhog "predicted" an early spring after officials had declared the rodent did not see its shadow.

But according to Environment Canada's long-range forecast, we may not have seen the last of old man winter.

Meteorologist Mark Schuster says Norfolk County will welcome the first few days spring with above seasonal temperatures and possible rain showers.

Heading towards the end of the month and into April, Environment Canada's forecast predicts temperatures will fluctuate up and down much like it did this past winter.

The average high for this time of year is plus five with an overnight low of minus 4.

Spring officially arrived Monday at 6:29 am.
