LONG POINT BREWING COMPANY CALLS ON THE COMMUNITY FOR HELP
3/16/2017 7:23:23 AM

Ever since Hometown Brewing Company out of Long Point entered the scene in December, they have made quite the impact on their beer.

They started off launching their Blueberry Saison in December which became a hit in the County and abroad.

The only complaint was that people could only get the beer at various restaurants and not at the LCBO.

The brothers and cousins were hoping for summer launch at the liquor store, but due to the high volume of craft brewers applying, they got a no.

That was Dusty Zamecnik, co-founder of the brewery, and he said they may have been given a no for now, but they aren't taking it laying down. They just started a petition online to get their beer in the store.

Zamecnik is hoping that this extra push will be enough to convince the LCBO to open up shelf space.
