Three men from the county are facing several charges after police claim they found meth inside of a vehicle during a routine traffic stop in Simcoe. The drug bust happened Thursday on John Street North. A passenger was also charged with possession of a weapon.

The battle over the Norfolk Inn has officially started. As a backstory for those not aware, the Norfolk Inn was purchased during a tax sale last year only to have an interested party come in on behalf of the original owner and pay back the back taxes owed at the last minute.

Several people are getting set to lace up for this Sunday's Purina Walk for Dog Guides in Port Dover. The national fundraiser helps raise money to train Dog Guides. In the last two years, close to $13,000 has been raised locally.

A man on the run from Hamilton Police was found hiding in Haldimand County. On Wednesday afternoon, the owner of a Latvian Sportsman Club on Grand Sports Road in York found a man inside of his establishment.

Water Restrictions are now in effect for Norfolk. Until September 15th, residents in Courtland, Delhi, Port Dover, Port Rowan, Simcoe, St. Williams, and Waterford will have to limit their outdoor use of water to 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

A 15-year old man is in hot water after taking a vehicle out for a joyride. Police stopped the teenager driving the car on the Blueline Road just after midnight on Saturday. OPP investigators say the Norfolk teen took the vehicle without the owner's consent.

SIX CHARGED IN SIMCOE DRUG BUST

The six people who were arrested and charged during this weekend's drug bust in Simcoe will soon be back in court. On Friday, the Norfolk OPP seized $30,000 in illicit drugs after a search warrant was conducted along the Queensway West.

There could be more mosquitoes than usual this summer. Environment Canada says the cold and wet spring has created more breeding grounds for mosquitoes. This spring has received up to 70 percent more precipitation than normal.
