A Waterford man is now $50,000 richer. Shaun Krug recently took home the top prize for Instant Bingo. OLG sent out a press release about the good news, but no comments from Krug were attached. The winning ticket was purchased at the Boston General Store.

An investigation is now underway after a hit and run in Simcoe. It happened Monday night at the intersection of Colborne Street North and Union Street. OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk says the suspect vehicle immediately fled the scene and left the 19-year old teenager injured on the street.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement which warns of strong gusty winds. Wind gusts as high as 80 km per hour are expected throughout the day. The forecaster says the strongest winds will occur near the lakeshore.

GRAND ERIE REPORTING A SPIKE IN WORKPLACE VIOLENCE AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

The Grand Erie District School Board has tweaked the way they look at and report workplace violence, and because of this, they saw a dramatic spike. During the 2015-2016 school year, 123 reported incidents of Workplace violence were reported which skyrocketed to 612 for the 2016-2017 year.

The Norfolk OPP has charged a 45-year old Norfolk County man with fraud. Police began investigating the incident on Friday after a man was captured on video committing a fraudulent offense at a bank in downtown Simcoe.

More students in Norfolk County are graduating from school. The 2016 graduation rates for students who went to class for four years is 66 percent. In 2015, it was 62 percent, and in 2014 it was 60 percent. The provincial average is 79 percent.

Two 15-year olds in Waterford are in a world of trouble. Police say the pair were arrested on Wednesday morning in connection with a break and enter. The teens were later caught running through a field with stolen goods.
