A transition committee has been formed to look at the elementary school year in Simcoe this upcoming September. The transition will see students from Elgin Avenue transfer to Lynndale Heights for a full school year, while Elgin undergoes extensive repairs.

A Tillsonburg man charged with child luring in Florida has been murdered. That's according to officials at the Jackson County Correctional Facility who reported that 82-year-old Arthur Williams sudden death was a homicide.

An investigation is underway in Port Dover after thousands of dollars worth of silver and gold was stolen. Police say thieves removed 50 silver bars and ten gold bars from a safe inside of a home. The theft is valued at $15,000.
