Smoking may soon be banned in certain outdoor areas across the county. Norfolk's Board of Health passed a draft Smoke-Free Outdoor Spaces By-Law on Tuesday night which prohibits or limits tobacco smoking on Norfolk's parks and recreation properties, buildings, and structures.

An investigation is now underway at an elementary school in Caledonia after thieves broke in and vandalized classrooms and made out with several laptop computers. Officers with the Haldimand OPP got the call early Monday morning.
