A cyclist is in a load of trouble after getting confrontational with an OPP officer. The incident occurred on Cedar street in Simcoe when our local Street Crime Unit approached a man on a bike.

There's word contractors are dragging their feet when it comes to tidying up mistakes in Port Dover. Board of Trade President Adam Veri went to Town Hall recently to ask our elected officials if these "mistakes" were going to be corrected by the construction crews on Main Street.

MAN CHARGED WITH MAKING DEATH THREATS IN SIMCOE

Things got a little bit wild and crazy on the Queensway in Simcoe. Police say a man pulled out a weapon and threatened to do serious harm after an argument boiled over with another man. It happened on the Queensway West just before 8-am on Tuesday.

NORFOLK MAN CHARGED WITH STREET RACING

A 21-year old Norfolk County man will be without a license for a week and maybe longer, following a stunt driving incident in Norwich Township. On Saturday, the OPP clocked a vehicle traveling 160 km an hour in a posted 80 zone.

A 12-year-old boy is looking to make some money doing a stinky job. Carson Kitchen is going into grade 8 and decided to take on a summer job in between. It's part of SSUP Norfolk, where students are given money to start up their own summer business.

OPP INVESTIGATING HIT AND RUN THAT SENT TWO TO HOSPITAL

The Haldimand OPP is investigating a hit and run that sent two people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to eye witnesses, a silver mini van collided with a motorcycle ejecting both the driver and passenger on Indian Line Monday evening.

OPP BRIEFS INCLUDE BRAWLS IN SIMCOE AND DELHI

The Norfolk OPP dealt with two brawls on Friday. First on Robinson Street in Simcoe where two men got into an argument that turned physical. Both men, a 19-year-old and 45-year-old, from Norfolk County were charged with assault with a weapon.

AN INCREASE OF TICKS HAS LOCAL HEALTH OFFICIALS CONCERNED

Health officials are sounding the alarm over an increase of ticks this summer. The bug has spread throughout the county with Turkey Point, and Long Point considered as the hot spots for the risk of Lyme Disease.
