SALVATION ARMY'S KETTLE CAMPAIGN NOW UNDERWAY

The Salvation Army's Kettle Campaign rolls out today. The kettles will be set up at shopping malls and grocery stores until Christmas Eve. The money will go towards helping our vulnerable neighbors throughout the year. This year's goal is to raise more than $75,000.

As a spike in vehicle break-ins continue to rise, the Norfolk OPP is asking Christmas shoppers to on alert for thieves roaming parking lots. Despite repeated warnings by police every year, people continue to leave presents in the backseat of their vehicle while the shop.

The Simcoe Lions Club is hoping to have its iconic Lighthouse back in Wellington Park in time for the Simcoe Christmas Panorama. The group, who owns the watch-tower, removed it from the Simcoe park earlier this summer as it was in desperate need of repairs.

HYDRO ONE WANTS TO INCREASE THE PRICE OF POWER...AGAIN

Hydro One wants to increase the price of power because it says it needs money for new equipment. The utility is asking for a half a per cent increase this year and a 4.8 per cent bump next year.

OPP WARN SOMEONE IS TRYING TO SOLICIT FUNDS IN THEIR NAME

The O-P-P is warning the public to be wary of organizations soliciting funds for its teddy bear program. The Community Bear Program provides black and white teddy bears that officers can give to young children in traumatic situations such as motor vehicle collisions.
