A family living on Burford Delhi Townline Road are now homeless after a fire ripped through their home on Sunday. Fire crews responded to the blaze shortly after 8:00 p.m. and discovered smoke and flames coming from a bedroom window.

WORK ON DELHI LIBRARY EXPANSION COULD BEGIN THIS NOVEMBER

It looks like more funding is heading towards the Delhi Public Library. Expanding and renovating the facility is estimated to cost $1.7-million with $100,000 coming in from the Canada 150 Grant. But it appears Norfolk is not done tapping that resource.

Quite a scare for homeowners on Richard Avenue in Simcoe. Police say they were sleeping when a thief broke into their home and stole a purse that contained money and personal ID. The Norfolk OPP report it happened around 6 am last Tuesday.

RABID CAT BITES RESIDENT IN CALEDONIA

A Caledonia resident is being treated by healthcare providers after they were bitten by a rabid stray cat. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency notified the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit on Thursday about the incident and informed them that the cat tested positive for rabies.

A 23-year old is facing a careless driving charge in connection with a crash that sent four people to hospital, including a one-year-old child. The two-vehicle collision happened at the intersection of Highway 6 and the Second Line near Hagersville early Thursday afternoon.

They're going national! Executive Director Bryan Gilvesy with the Alternative Land-Use Services program, also known as ALUS, announced on Wednesday that they rebranded itself as ALUS Canada -- an independent, not-for-profit organization.
