Mayor Charlie Luke is well aware that decisions council made during the Capital Budget will significantly affect the next big budget on their agenda. On Thursday, our elected officials approved a capital budget of $38.4 million -- that's $9 million more than the 2017 budget.

17-YEAR OLD CHARGED WITH STUNT DRIVING

A 17-year old man is in a world of trouble after getting caught stunt driving on Highway 24 in Windham. The OPP clocked a vehicle traveling 130 km an hour in a posted 80 zone. The 17-year old from Dundas is now facing stunt driving charges.

Big news out of Delhi. Jacob Robinson of the Reformer is reporting that they Delhi Raiders football team have forfeited the season. Robinson says some senior players quit the team and the lack of players became a safety concern.

Provincial police are expanding a project that began as a pilot in Tecumseh in April of 2016 to other O-P-P detachment areas. Project Safe Trade creates a community safe zone at an O-P-P detachment parking lot or other location where people can meet to conclude online sales.

Norfolk County's construction boom continues. Last year saw record numbers in Norfolk but construction activity in the first nine months of 2017 has outperformed all twelve months of 2016. That was Norfolk's general manager of development and cultural services Chris Baird.

IMPAIRED DRIVER NEARLY HITS ONCOMING TRAFFIC ON THE BLUE LINE ROAD

The Norfolk OPP say it's fortunate no one was killed. Late Monday night, a driver who had been drinking alcohol, got into her vehicle, took a drive down the Blue Line Road and ended up on the front lawn of a home.
